Monday 23rd August 2021 saw the unique occasion of the Investiture ceremonies for both the Provincial Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Chapter of Sussex take place on the same day and in the same venue, Brighton’s Metropole Hotel.
The Province was honoured by the presence of the RW Deputy Grand Master Jonathon Spence. The first time that he has visited the Province of Sussex.
The Provincial Grand Master was pleased to be able to finally present APGM Geoffrey Draper with his Patent, congratulate those who had received Grand Rank and to greet and congratulate those Brethren from both 2020 and 2021 who had received an appointment to, or promotion in. Provincial Grand rank.
The day proved an outstanding success with over 700 Brethren and Companions attending the Investiture Meetings (chairs were at a premium) and 500 people enjoying the convivial dining. Hearty congratulations must go to to the many people from both the Craft and the Royal Arch involved in the organisation, preparation and ceremonial orchestration of the event.
